October 5, 2007 — for immediate release.

The City of Medora is planning its 15th annual wildlife feed on November 9th 2007 in Medora North Dakota at the Medora Community Center. The tradition continues for the 15th year as hunters, guests and friends are invited to take a walk on the wild side by trying the numerous game dishes that will be prepared for the event. The menu is the main draw of the event offering wildlife stews, chilies and beef stew. Last year’s menu consisted of pheasant, elk and venison dishes, some dishes disappearing long before the line was through. So come early to enjoy some great game dishes! The wildlife feed coincides with opening day of deer gun season and will begin at 5:30pm at the Medora Community Center. This annual event is for hunters to get together and discuss tales of the first day of the new season with other hunters and friends and share strategies for future hunts. In addition to the great conversations there is a raffle. The raffle will include two different guns to be given away: a Weatherby 270 WSM rifle and an Uplander DLX Stoeger double barrel shotgun from Andrus Outdoors of Dickinson. Other raffle prizes include: a Leuplod laser range finder, I-Finder GPS navigator, binoculars from Scheels Sports and a Powder River rider jacket from Buffalo Gap Lake Country Stitches. These items are on display on at the First State Bank of Medora. Along with the great raffle prizes, there are numerous prizes to be given away the night of the feed. To take part in this fun event the cost is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children and a family rate of $13.00. This event is sponsored by the Medora Chamber of Commerce and coordinator of the event is Jessica Grove.
